The Pocket Referee turns every conflict into a win win situation. Do your kids seem to fight over everything? Of course they do. Theyre kids, and its natural. Help them learn how to settle conflicts with this remarkably simple tool. The Pocket Referee provides kids a process to settle disputes on their own. It eliminates the need for mom or dad to intervene and be the bad guy. It also helps kids to learn about priorities and delayed gratification. Instructions: Choose the first person to be the coin holder with a flip of the coin. When a conflict comes up, the coin holder may choose to have their way, but must then pass the coin to the other party. OR, the coin holder may choose to let the other party get their way and keep the coin for a later, more important conflict. Every package comes with one coin, an instruction sheet, a protective pouch, and a handy carrying clip. In order to use the Pocket Referee with three kids, both the antique brass coin and the gold coin are required. Two of the kids will hold one of each coin at any given time. (pulling names from a hat may be a good way to start) The gold coin will have a greater value. In the case where a conflict arises between the two who both have a coin, the holder of the gold coin will get to choose how the conflict ends. If she/he choses to keep the coin and give the choice away, then the other child who gets the choice has to give his/her antique coin to the third (non-coin holder) child. If the the gold coin holder chooses the choice she will give the gold coin to the child shes in conflict with and the antique coin will go to the child with no coin.
