How to play four square
Four players bounce a ball back and forth within a four-square grid numbered 1-4 with 4 being the server. The goal is to move up from a lower position to the server. Players achieve this by keeping the ball in play or by causing another player to miss a ball hit into that player's square.

Rules

• -Square 4 always server and may server to any other square. The player must serve from the back corner of square with one foot in bounds.


• -New players or players who missed a hit rotate into square 1.


• -A play that hits the ball out of bounds is out.


• -If the ball is in bounds but not returned, the player is out.


• -The ball may bounce only once within a square.
